Half way through the pilot and 47 GP practices are on board for receiving electronic discharge summaries

The pilot is half way through completion at Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust and is successfully supporting 31 GP practices from Swindon PCT, serving a total population of 188,000 and 16 GP practices from Wiltshire PCT serving a total population of 444,000.

Staff engaged in the new improved process and benefiting from the electronic discharge summary includes 11 clinical coding staff at the Trust, clinicians within the Respiratory Medicine Team, Staff Nurses, Sisters, Ward Clerks and 21 members of staff in pharmacy.
