Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust will plan roll out  across another 3 wards following internal discussion

Swindon and Marlborough NHS Trust and its commissioning PCTs set a target for discharge summaries to be produced and delivered within 48 hours of the patient leaving hospital.

The pilot scheme in Saturn Ward is now complete and following successful evaluation of the pilot scheme, future plans for further roll out to extend the capability to other wards will be under internal discussion allowing GP practices to have prompt, reliable information about their patients with consistent and crucial clinical information.
